New archers should also err on the side of caution and choose lower poundage bows - 55# bows are definitely not recommended for new archers and we have numerous new customers requesting to purchase lighter limbs shortly after the purchase of our 55# bows. A 55# bow is equivalent to about a 70# compound bow in perceived draw effort as you hold the full 55# at your anchor point. The lowest legal poundage (and possibly 5# upward of that) for hunting in your area is generally recommended if you are a new archer. You will be better able to develop proper form and will be more accurate.
Check out what David from Ultimate Survival Tips had to say about the Atmos in the video below. Note: Grips are now G10 as per product photos.

Does what they say. Was wieldy enough for me, a small but tough woman. Very simple use. Haven’t taken anything down with it yet, still practicing.
Very fun and accurate, makes my remote walks more interesting.
Bullet proof construction and materials. No worries of climate. Has a more tactical feel, although for casual use I prefer a wooden/fiberglass laminate, this, made in Kentucky will always be my go to when its rainy. Proud to support them. Great take down arrows also...the recon and tactical the only bows I know of that pack the arrows in the bow.
I bought the compact long bow with a little trepidation. I had not shot a longbow or a recurve since I was a kid. I had been shooting compounds for 20 years. Any fears were misplaced. The bow went together easily. It strung easily. The string centered on the bow easily. It shot great. It was faster than I expected. And, I just carried it all over Maine in a backpack, just because I could. I wasn’t even hunting anything. Just stuck it in my normal day pack and it was a breeze to carry. So far, I love it.
I love the form and fit of this bow. I haven't had a trip yet to test the functionality of it but if it operates the way it feels I won't be disappointed.
This bow is really great if you're looking for a lightweight takedown survival bow. It's very easy to assemble and easy to switch between different draw weight limbs. It's very easy to shoot and I've really enjoyed using this bow. It feels very solid and I have no doubt this will last me a lifetime!
The Atmos is easy to assemble, and can be confined many different ways to suit your archery preferences , it’s accurate, adaptable and packs down compactly . It’s a pleasure to shoot and the finish has stood up perfectly over a couple
Of years of rulegular use
Well balanced. Shot great and felt so good right out of the bag . I highly recommend this bow to anyone looking for a takedown, professional shooting bow to take backpacking or attach to a bug out bag. Get the arrows!!!
I have both the Atmos and the Recon. Both are sturdy, lightweight, and shoot well. I think they will probably last longer than me.
Easy to assemble and ready to GO solid product and American made!
