Tactical Compact Modern Longbow

$219.95
Poundage: 40# Left Handed Draw

Why choose the Tactical?

"Five stars by far. My personal first longbow, but not my first bow in general. I shoot competition compound and I do know my stuff about quality bows fairly well. I have shot $600 Bear recurves and longbows before so let me explain. This bow will out last those by far. Also, this bow does not stack nearly as much as most in this price range, and above. Another thing better about this is bow is its ability to fold and store takedown arrows inside the riser."

  • No tools required.
  • Robust and durable compared to organic bows/limbs.

New archers should also err on the side of caution and choose lower poundage bows - 55# bows are definitely not recommended for new archers and we have numerous new customers requesting to purchase lighter limbs shortly after the purchase of our 55# bows. A 55# bow is equivalent to about a 70# compound bow in perceived draw effort as you hold the full 55# at your anchor point. The lowest legal poundage (and possibly 5# upward of that) for hunting in your area is generally recommended if you are a new archer. You will be better able to develop proper form and will be more accurate.

Great value, high quality, accurate built like a tank

Shoots accurate, built like a tank! I am a regular recurve and longbow archer. I bought this to keep in my truck or pack wo fear of limbs being damaged in the hot car. This “thing”, “beast” aka Timex of the bow world is almost indestructible. But it shoots almost....almost ( serious competition bow it is not, serious rugged hunting bow it is) as well as my target competition bows. Unlike my other bows this one is always handy in my car for wherever I am to pull it out of its case, set it up, string it n shoot in less than 2 minutes flat. This thing is so dang strong, if after knocking down game w your last arrow you find you didn’t get a clean kill.....use the SAS as a club to humanely put the deer/hog/bear out of its misery. Love this bow. Well thought out. I also have a Spectre Nomad, and though I like it, the Nomad’s durability does not compare at all to the SAS! I’m not sure the Nomad could be stored safely in a car in California’s 105 degree summer days wo warping. The SAS could easily withstand any earthly temperatures, as it is all metals. With all due respect, to some other reviewers, it is very hard to buy a quality bow for under $150, and bows never come w arrows, so not sure why some complain about its price or lack of arrows. Only kids bows come w arrows often w the suction cup Broadheads. I never see adult bows come w arrows unless it is a cheap piece of garbage or a novice bow. For the materials this manufacturer uses, it is a great value. It is not at all pretty, but beyond efficient at the purpose it was built for, ie compact indestructible always ready bow.

Perfect back pack bow

Very light, very sturdy bow. Shoots very well, I bought the 55# version and love it. I put on the provided arrow rest and knock point. Would def buy again.

Four Stars

Mid to high potential to lose some critical pieces.

It's sort of an engineering marvel

It's pretty awesome. Setup takes a little getting used to, but it's a 60 inch longbow that packs down to 21 inches. Can't beat that.

I love this bow

My first takedown bow. Have always used compound. I love this bow! After some practice and tweaking it to my shooting style it works great.I would reccomend getting some cheaper arrows to practice with first before investing in arrows for the bow. Once comfortable with it get some good arrows for it. I also recommend arrows with feather fletchings as plastic vanes tend to hit the shaft and your hands when you shoot.Great investment!
