We designed the Scout as a super compact takedown survival bow using modern materials, so that you can fit more gear in your pack (its much less bulky) and not have to worry about durability in the field. Its unique in our range in that it can accept accessories such as sights and quivers, but does not store takedown arrows so has a much smaller packed volume for those who carry full length arrows or prefer to store arrows elsewhere.

(Note: New archers should err on the side of caution and choose lower poundage bows - 55# bows are definitely not recommended for new archers and we have numerous new customers requesting to purchase lighter limbs shortly after the purchase of our 55# bows. A 55# bow is equivalent to about a 70# compound bow in perceived draw effort as you hold the full 55# at your anchor point.). The lowest legal poundage (and possibly 5# upward of that) for hunting in your area is generally recommended if you are a new archer. You will be better able to develop proper form and will be more accurate.

Very fun bow to use and take with you easily with its ability to easily be taken down and thrown in a pack. I don’t have any other experience with long bows, however I would say I quickly got comfortable enough to try hunting with it within a couple months of practice. I believe my bow is as accurate as I can get it at this stage of my traditional archery path, which is pretty good if I’m comfortable enough to ethically harvest an animal with it. I would definitely recommend this bow to all skill levels but especially someone not sure if they will like traditional archery without spending $400.
I’ve been using this bow for a little while now. Easy set up with a little practice. Shoots real nice. I keep it in my car. Stores easily and completely out of sight..
I first purchased the 40#, I’m glad I did, but then got the 50# version…love em both…They are very accurate bows and highly recommended…love the simplicity and engineering…Im hoping SAS will come out with a line of accessories for the scout as it’s platform is begging for cool toys to strap on to it…
Quality product and good customer service.
Bow has great portability. Will take me a while to get use to it but compared to other options the way it compacts into a flat package is great for storage and great for use.
